Mahi Mahi

(Coryphaena hippurus)

Description: Mahi-Mahi is often called dolphin-fish, but it is not related to the mammalian dolphin. The meat is firm and light pink when raw but turns white when cooked. It has a mild, slightly sweet flavor and a firm flesh with large flakes.

Country of Origin: Pacific coast of USA, Hawaii, Ecuador, China, Japan and Peru.

Seasonality: Product is available year-round.
